ABVP takes lead in Delhi University student body election

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad won three of the four central panel positions in the Delhi University Students Union election held recently. The organisation secured the posts of president secretary and joint secretary according to results reported by The Hindu and The Indian Express.

Congress backed NSUI failed to win any of the four key positions. An independent candidate Deepanshu Shokeen who had been denied an NSUI ticket claimed the vice president role with a clear margin. PTI reported the final tallies showing ABVP candidates ahead in most contests.
